Quality assurance recognized cooperation partners of European Certification Body

The certification procedure of the European Certification Body is based on three parts. All three together ensure that the certified product characteristics are in accordance with the European standards

The certification procedure comprises:
  • Type test
  • Certification
  • External quality surveillance

Type test and certification

The type test carried out at the recognized laboratories of European Certification Body and the certification are exclusively based on the requirements of the relevant European standard. Over and above that, no other requirements need to be met.

The type test and certification are above all based on the following European standards:

External quality surveillance

In accordance with its Certification Guideline, the European Certification Body carries out periodical external quality surveillance audits at the manufacturing plants during which it is ascertained whether production is based on the approved Technical Documentation according to the ECB•S certificate. In addition, the auditor ascertains whether the manufacturing company uses a certified quality management system according to ISO 9001 (EN ISO 9001) as a basis of production.
